Security

Building security is the responsibility of every resident of Quantum. The key principle: do not let people follow you into the building.

Main Entrance

Residents often hold doors open out of courtesy, but this creates security vulnerabilities. If the person behind you is a building resident, they should be happy that you’re not letting unknown people in.

A real incident occurred where a well-dressed individual followed residents in and stole a key fob. New Westminster Police issued warnings about criminals robbing downtown residents after gaining entry to apartment buildings.

Warning

Do not assume that any person trying to follow you into the building is a resident, and please remember that allowing strangers into the building puts everyone at risk.

Residents must ensure doors fully close before moving on, particularly accessible doors that close slowly. Leaving the doorway before full closure violates building rules and may result in fines.

Residents are responsible for anyone they buzz into the building. You can view the front door camera at: entry.quantumcondo.ca

Parking Entrance

Residents should monitor the parkade carefully and prevent vehicles or pedestrians from following them. If someone follows through garage doors (especially on foot), notify the caretaker immediately.

Key Fobs

Lost or stolen key fobs require immediate caretaker notification for deactivation.
