Maintenance Tips
For important information about humidity control and flood prevention, please refer to the Important Guidelines section.
Stainless Steel Appliances
Never use an abrasive or strong cleaners (powdered or ammonia-based cleaners, etc.) Do not use abrasive scrubbers as they will scratch the finish. Use hot water with mild dish soap or hot water mixed with white vinegar.
Microwave Cleaning
Place a bowl of water in microwave and boil for about one minute to loosen splatters for easy wiping.
Cleaning Mirrors, Windows, and Glass Shower Doors
Hot water and white vinegar is absolutely the best. Use a squeegee, lint-free cloth, or paper towels.
Hardwood Floors and Laminates
Never let water or moisture of any kind stand on the floor. Use a steam cleaner on low setting or a well-wrung mop. Clean spills immediately.
Tiles
Use hot water with mild detergent. For stained grout, scrub with a toothbrush or hard bristle brush with mild detergent and bleach.
Warning
Do not mix any substance with bleach, including vinegar and ammonia, as this creates toxic vapors.
Carpets
Regular vacuuming and prompt stain treatment will extend the life of your carpets. Consider professional cleaning annually.
