Water Filter Replacement

The under-sink water filter is rated for 3,000 gallons and should be replaced every year or two, depending on usage. Flow rate diminishes as the filter approaches end of life. Filters are available from hardware stores, Amazon, or efilters.ca. The filter type is Everpure model 4C.

Key Fob Battery Replacement

Replace batteries when the fob requires closer proximity to the garage door. Battery change must preferably occur before the fob dies completely, otherwise it may not work.

  • Older Keyscan FOBs use CR2032 3V coin cells. Carefully slide a blunt instrument into the side slot and rotate to open.
  • Newer Remocon FOBs use A23 12V batteries. Unscrew the backside screw.

Remove old battery and install new one.

Smoke Alarm Battery Replacement

When the alarm beeps, battery replacement is needed.

  1. Twist the alarm off the mounting plate
  2. Remove the AC wire harness
  3. Open the battery compartment
  4. Install new battery with proper polarity alignment
  5. Test functionality
  6. Reconnect the harness
  7. Reinstall on bracket
