Owner’s Insurance
Owners are reminded of their responsibilities regarding insurance and especially deductible coverage. Please see the owner’s insurance section on this site for guidance.
Renter’s Insurance
Tenants are legally responsible for any damage caused to any part of the building and for unintentional harm caused to others who live in or visit the property.
For example:
- If your known faulty toaster oven starts a fire that causes damages not only to your unit but to other units and/or common areas, you will have to pay for the damage to your unit and the rest of the building.
- If someone slips and falls in your unit, you may be held financially responsible for the cost of the injured person’s damages.
- If your clothing, furniture or electronics are destroyed by fire or water damage, replacement costs add up.
The cost of renter’s insurance is in general very low and is a simple way of protecting yourself against a potentially huge financial burden.
Lost and Additional Key Fobs
Lost fobs must be reported to the caretaker immediately. Additional fobs can be obtained from the caretaker, for a fee.
Response Times
Residents are reminded that elevator bookings must be done 7 days in advance.
Requests for fobs and keys may take up to 2 weeks to fulfill.
Any request that involves strata council approval, including renovation related requests, will be considered at the next formal council meeting. Council meetings are typically scheduled every 8–10 weeks.
