Being a Good Neighbour
Living in a condo is not like living in a single family home. The operation of a condo is based on the Strata Corporation’s governing bylaws and rules.
The building houses 120 units. Here are some common sense guidelines for harmonious cohabitation:
- Greet your neighbours — Friendly interactions create positive atmospheres.
- Keep the volume down — Maintain reasonable music volume; notify neighbours of gatherings.
- Minimize noise — Be mindful of noise including footsteps, appliances, children’s activities, and hallway conversations.
- Be responsible with pets — Prevent excessive dog barking; choose quiet pets; use leashes outdoors.
- No smoking — Smoking is prohibited throughout the building, including balconies.
- Be responsible for your guests — Ensure guests comply with bylaws.
- Park respectfully — Follow parking rules and be considerate.
- Clean up — Clean up spills and pet accidents immediately.
- Address conflicts directly — Address conflicts through direct, respectful conversation rather than complaints.
