Pets

Quantum is a pet-friendly building, but pet owners are requested to observe the rules below for the safety and comfort of all residents.

Registration

Any non-caged animal kept in a strata lot, either permanently or temporarily, must be registered. Please provide the property manager with a completed pet registration form. It is a violation of the Quantum Bylaws to keep an unregistered pet on the premises, and residents who do so will be fined.

All dogs kept on the premises must be licensed with the City of New Westminster and must wear their license tags in the common areas.

Rules

  1. Only the following pets are allowed: reasonable number of fish/aquarium animals; reasonable number of small caged animals; up to two caged birds; up to two dogs; up to two cats
  2. All animals must be leashed on common property
  3. No dogs allowed in 5th-floor courtyard
  4. Residents must prevent pets from urinating/defecating on common property; must clean promptly
  5. Guest animals are subject to same rules; residents are responsible
  6. Strata corporation may require removal if animal constitutes a nuisance or danger
  7. Pets may not be tied up on common property
  8. Unsupervised pets will be delivered to municipal pound at owner’s cost
  9. Pets are not allowed on balconies
  10. Owners assume all liability for pet actions

Breed Restrictions

  1. Unless granted prior written approval by the Strata Council, no pets over 20 inches to the shoulder in height will be allowed in the building.
  2. The following breeds are prohibited: Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, Doberman, Rottweiler, Presa Canario, any dog recognized as Pit Bull/Pit Bull Terrier, any mixed breed with characteristics of aforementioned breeds.
